SIX ACRES
Brennen Nading - Oklahoma - December 30th, 2025

Last year, I did my damndest to gain permission on some dirt in Oklahoma. I ran cameras all fall and ended up going down there at the end of the season and was able to harvest a nice buck and a couple of does. I was excited to do the same again this year. Early fall, I headed south to feed and get cameras up. Lots of deer on the farm throughout the fall, but nothing that got me too excited. In early December, I made another trip down to feed and do some door knocking. I was hoping to find another spot where I could dump feed and try to find a good buck. As luck would have it, I gained access to a small piece, only 6 acres in size. This buck showed up within the first week, and was periodically coming in during shooting hours. With a massive cold front in the forecast, I drove down for 1 sit on this buck while the winds permitted. We got in the tree around 1pm and an hour before dark, he was the first and only deer we saw!
