MOJAVE

Mike Mancl - North Dakota - December 20th, 2025

By: Brennen Nading (@nadingbr)

With the holidays approaching, Mike headed to North Dakota with only a few days to hunt before having to return home.  Brennen had made the trip up a week prior to feed and set cameras in several locations. The guys had 3 spots with good bucks on camera, 2 of which were huntable those days with the wind directions they were being dealt.  While sitting in camp eating lunch on day 1, the Tactacam app buzzed and one of their top bucks, Mojave, was hitting the feed at 11:30am.  With a good wind to hunt him that afternoon, they slipped in there a couple hours later knowing he'd be close.  Sure enough, he made an appearance but never presented Mike with a good shot.  The wind changed the following day so they were unable to hunt Mojave but once again he hit the feed midday, this time at 12:30pm.  The next day, Mike's final sit of the trip, they planned to get in the blind by 10:00am and sit until dark.  At 11:35 here he came, right on schedule!
