With Jim breaking the ice for us, camp vibes were on the up!  With a few good bucks on camera, we would continue to hunt the warm weather smartly.  One particular spot had two good bucks on it that we knew from trail camera history the last few years.  After not being able to seal the deal on them in the past, we decided we needed to change it up this year and try to set up closer to where we assumed they were bedding.  Little did we know, the first time in this year would be the lucky sit! We slipped in well before sunset and began glassing the landscape.  About 40 minutes before dark, we watched the buck we call "Hardy" stand up out of his bed roughly 400 yards away.  He slowly began making his way in our direction. Just before the light faded, he walked into bow range and I was able to make the shot count.  I was more than happy to be tagged out with a deer that we knew very well!
