COMBACK KID

Jim Sievwright - North Dakota - August 30th, 2025

By: Brennen Nading (@nadingbr)

After missing the entire last season due to shoulder surgery, Jim was more than ready for deer season to get here this year!  Countless hours of prep work and shooting bow this summer had Jimbo itching to hit the road for North Dakota.  The guys rolled into camp Dinkota to kick it off.  With unfavorably warm weather in the forecast, it was going to make for some warm sits.  Thankfully, good eats and good company are always in store at deer camp even when the hunting is slow.  Despite the warm temps, Jim crawled into a Barronett Blind that was tucked away in an abandoned barn on evening number two of the season.  Once the sun set, deer began to move.  Sure enough, this buck rolled in, and Jim was happy to wrap his tag on him.  Jim's first deer with the bow in three years, and his first ever velvet buck!
