CLUB BUCK

Jake Mancl - North Dakota- December 12th, 2023

By: Brennen Nading (@nadingbr)

With abnormally warm weather for this time of the year, we knew that our yearly late season push in North Dakota was going to be anything but easy.  Luckily for us, God gifted us with a cold front that would hit on the first day that we arrived to hunt.  Our good buddy Jake Mancl from HHA Sports rolled into camp midday.  We didn't waste much time.  He got dressed, shot a few arrows and we headed out for the evening hunt.  Him and I climbed into a Barronett Blind with a couple hours until dark.  We spotted the "Club Buck" on his feet early, on the hillside across from us.  Meanwhile, a few does started working our direction.  The buck followed suit and made the mistake of coming into bow range.  Jake made a great shot and he didn't run far!  Always nice to punch a tag on day 1.
