NEW PROPERTY

Brandon has spent much of his fall focusing on a "new-to-him" property in Wisconsin.  With several sits under his belt, he was continuing to learn how the deer were using this particular piece.  On the morning of November 14th, he decided it was time to get into the heart of the timber.  He couldn't have picked a better day to do so, as the action was hot and heavy right out of the gate.  With several good buck encounters, and great chasing activity, this buck came out of the thick bedding cover late morning.  Brandon took the shot, and hit the deer more forward than he was hoping for.  Playing it safe, he decided to back out and give the buck plenty of time to expire.  Not wanting to risk bumping the deer, he decided to call in a drone to see if they could locate the buck.  The buck didn't go far, but they did have to give him ample time to expire.  Even with a lethal shot, it is crazy just how tough these animals can be!
